About me

Hello I’m misterrands, a recipe developer that’s focused on ‘Healthy Fast Food that’s Plant-Based’

My plant-based journey began with a food intolerance test that delivered a few nasty surprises. That (combined with a vegetarian wife and a young family) led me to create healthy plant-based recipes, which are quick and easy to make

I create quick, delicious and healthy meals that anyone can cook. My recipes guide you step-by-step using the simple tools & tricks that I learnt at the world’s best culinary schools and in the kitchen at the ‘world’s best restaurant’, where I worked with some amazing chefs and learnt how to forage and create simple and delicious plant-based meals. So, whether you’re a first-time chef or a long-time chef, my aim is to help busy people like you make crowd-pleasers with ease, every time

All the recipes were created and developed in my farmhouse kitchen overlooking the picturesque North York Moors national park in Yorkshire and tested by me, my wife Jo and our toddler, Isabella (and no doubt our dog, Poppy, too!). My aim is for the food to be simple-to-make, healthy, sustainable and most of all, tasty. I hope you enjoy making the meals as much as I do

You’ll also find some food journalism and photography here too. I’m fortunate enough to have travelled the world to interview talented chefs and photograph and write about their restaurants. So, whether it’s London (where we used to live), New York or Paris or something more exotic like Thailand, Mauritius or Abu Dhabi, I hope you’ll find something to tickle your taste buds
